Once in a lifetime
No, I am not referring to the Talking Heads 1981 song, but because it is now in my head, here are the starting lyrics:
You may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
You may find yourself in another part of the world
You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
You may find yourself in a beautiful house with a beautiful wife
(I have three of these: and as a clue, I don't live in a shotgun shack nor another part of the world)
In fact, today is the last day of my life, and of most people who are alive today, whose time and date follows a sequence. If the technology works, and I think there is a big chance of a hiccup, this blog is being posted at ten past nine in the evening of December Eleventh, 2013. Or, 9-10-11-12-13.
The next such time will be two minutes past one on the third of April 2105: 1-2-3-4-5.
American readers might not get the above, and in fact their pleasure comes next year: 10-11-12-13-14, December 13th 2014 in British English.
