Solution

Simon played 1 Rg7+ Kg7[] but then missed the glorious 2 Bf8+!! when 2..Rf8 3 Qe7+, takes the rook! and mates. Or if the bishop isn't taken, Qh6+ mates simply.

Yet another example of Purdy's consider all biffs.
