Daily chess puzzle: Check Mate #178

December 5, 2016
Another puzzle from Dragoslav Andric’s 1981 book “Matni Udar”.
White to play and mate Black
Pitljakovski v Szukszta, Varšava 1952
(I assume Varsava is “Warsaw”; Megabase has the game instead as having been played in Katowice).
Fairly standard today: 1 Qh4+! Bh4[] 2 Bg7+ Kh5[] 3 g4 mate. A single forcing line.
